Immestads Konservmuseum

Museet är privat och har iordningsställts helt på egen bekostnad och detta av intresse för hembygden. Det är gratis entré och det finns inga intäkter etc i form av bidrag och det ekonomiska utrymmet är begränsat. Av denna anledning saknas faciliteter såsom toalett.

Museet har främst föremål från konservindustrin men det finns under öppningstillfällen även en del 1800-tals konst såsom landets äldsta kända friluftsmålning. Det är ett verk av Alfred Wahlberg utfört 15/7 1862 i Lysekil. Där finns också under öppet tillfällena ofta lokalt målad 1900-tals konst av kända konstnärer såsom Taube och Wilhelmson. I museet finns många reklamföremål från Stångenäset eller Skaftö samt en del allmoge och nautika samt idrottskuriosa från trakten. Hästen på fotot fanns i en frisörsalong i Lysekil under ca 60 år. Ibland tas det även med någon överraskning som inte har med närområdet att göra…

Museet avses främst ha öppet på söndagar 15-18. Men det kan bli ändringar, vilka i så fall anges på Facebooksidan Immestads Konservmuseum – Lokalhistorisk Kultur.
